Prime Minister of Pakistan kicked off the Green Pakistan Spring & Monsoon Tree Plantation campaigns for all of Pakistan including the provinces, GB, AJK. This will target 240.05 million trees to be planted across the country.
During International Conference on Resilient Pakistan in Geneva, Federal Minister for Climate Change said: “We need a coalition of the willing to help each other rebuild, and actually face the future with confidence and predictability. We need a strategic reset on how to think about resilience”

At the launch of Country Climate & Development Report Pakistan by World Bank. Federal Minister for Climate Change said: we will need $ 348 billion by 2030 to meet climate and development challenges. So we are looking at all of us “doing more” both Pakistan as well as international financial institutions.
During COP27, Federal Minister said: If we don’t find common ground on saving our home, our planet, where do we go from here? Because right now we are still on a collective path to Armageddon. Let’s look to turn down the burn, and to redistribute to those facing the fallout with justice.

Briefing the Cabinet, Minister for Climate Change Senator Sherry Rehman called for prioritizing Pakistan’s Adaptation needs without compromising on the country’s mitigation goals. She stressed adaptation action beyond mitigation is pivotal if Pakistan has to deal with the accelerating climate crisis. She reiterated, "This is unprecedented and we cannot afford to have our priorities only set on mitigation. We will be focusing on climate smart agriculture, on water security as well as ecosystem and biodiversity protection.”
Federal Minister Senator Sherry Rehman attended the launch of Prime Minister's Monsoon Plantation Campaign, in conjunction with the 75th Independence Day Celebrations. Green Plantation Programme aims to mitigate impacts of climate change by afforestation on degraded land. About 303 million plants will be planted during this Monsoon season.
US Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E Donald Blome, paid a courtesy call on the Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Sherry Rehman. Minister congratulated H.E on assumption of Office & expressed the desire to continue working together for tackling climate change issues.
Federal Minister Senator Sherry Rehman, in a meeting with the UAE Ambassador H.E. Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem AlZaabi, discussed the MoU signed on climate between both countries & areas of cooperation. She also congratulated UAE on its selection to host COP28.
