Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman, during her remarks in the briefing on current flood situation in Pakistan by NDMA, highlighted the need for immediate humanitarian and rescue efforts to rehabilitate the aggrieved and flood-hit populations throughout the country. Stressing the need for urgent relief measures, Minister said, “The current climate catastrophe needs immediate International & national mobilization of humanitarian efforts, not just in the form of food, shelter & basic survival amenities but we need to amplify our rescue efforts”.
